Welcome to the Website of the Group for Computational Plant Biology
Welcome to the Computational Plant Biology group at the Technical University of Munich. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Nadia Kamal, our working group is dedicated to the latest developments in plant genome research. Our focus is on the bioinformatics analysis of genomic data to explore the genetic diversity of plants with the goal to decipher the genetic mechanisms responsible for agronomically important traits such as disease resistance and adaptability to various environmental conditions. The integration of Big Data and multiple "Omics" levels allows us to combine complex data sets and gain deep insights into plant biology. Through our work, we contribute to the scientific foundation for breeding plant varieties that can withstand the challenges of climate change, achieve high yields under suboptimal conditions, and thus contribute to global food security.
Since the group is still very new, the website is currently under construction and will gradually be filled with content.
