Vladimir received his Ph.D. in molecular genetics in 1994 and he has over 30 years of experience in Clostridium thermocellum research. His results were published in >100 peer reviewed journals and he was several time awarded. In 2007 he received the Liebig-Medaille (Süd-Chemie AG) for his contribution in the area of bio-catalysis. In 2001-2002 he was awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt foundation and received several DFG awards.
