Vacancies
We are seeking highly motivated PhD / MSc / BSc students to perform research on our projects on:
(a) protein-protein interactions underlying protein aggregation and cell degeneration and the design, synthesis, and development of protein aggregation inhibitors as leads for anti-amyloid drugs in Alzheimer’s disease and other cell degenerative diseases and
(b) proinflammatory chemokine interactions in atherosclerosis and the design, synthesis and development of peptides to modulate these interactions and control their function.
Applicants for the PhD position should hold a degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology.
One PhD position is available on molecular mechanisms and functions of cross-interactions of amyloid proteins related to Alzheimer's disease, type 2 Diabetes, and Parkinson's disease and design, synthesis and evaluation of peptide-based molecules as leads for anti-amyloid drugs.
Please send your application to Prof. A. Kapurniotu (akapurniotu(at)tum.de).
