The TUM Chair of Plant Breeding will organize a Summer School on „Selection and Breeding” from June 25 to July 2, 2019 with Bruce Walsh of the University of Arizona and Guilherme Rosa of the University of Wisconsin-Madison for researchers in the field of quantitative genetics, breeding and biostatistics from academia and industry. The Summer School will provide an introduction to classical and genome-based selection theory and breeding methodology. A guest lecturer from Computomics will give an introduction to machine learning. The course consists of lectures and practical components with hands-on exercises. Registration will start in March.
