Research Interests
Adipocyte biology/endosomal trafficking
My research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating insulin receptor dynamics in brown and white adipocytes. I am particularly interested in a novel adaptor protein that modulates insulin receptor trafficking, degradation, and recycling. To the confusion of many, I also enjoy working with R and analyzing omics data, including transcriptomics and proteomics. Apart from that, I am also interested in the human microbiome and its role on health, metabolism, and disease.
